Mrs Kannensohn,

Since your office is compiling a survey of Fayette Co cemeteries, I have two suggestions for you:

1) The Ky Historical Society has an ever growing statewide cemetery database, and lots, lots data more to key in, from files submitted over the years (since 1976). They also have a number of computer generated reports from their database, however, some of that data does not now exist in their current database, apparently lost in a shuffle of diskettes from office to office.

2) A local DAR chapter compiled a booklet of Fayette Co rural cemeteries and family graveyards back in the 1930s, I think it was. I indexed that booklet back in the 1980s, a copy of which existed at the Ky Historical Society library.
It would be interesting to see which of these graveyards still exist. I'm not sure if the KHS will be keying the data from that booklet into their statewide database, but perhaps they should.
