You may be aware of this, but two Timberlakes are buried at the Old Episcopal Burying Ground on Third Street: one George C., d. 1/1849; and one Eliza Duncan, d. 1/1844, d/o H. H. Timberlake. You may also be aware H. H. married Miss Mary S. Brand of Lexington 10/17/1832. The death notices above are available at Click on Kentuckiana Digital Library; then in bottom left corner on Digital; then click "Duff's Funeral Notice Scrapbook" and then do a search by surname in upper left column. They can be enlarged by clicking and then printed down. The marriage was reported in the Observer on 10/25/1832.

As to Matthew Kennedy, he appears (I think I recall) on the 1788 tax list, but I've often wondered if that is not, in fact, Matthew Kenney, the AmRev. Patriot... If it is, they have their own burial places here in Lexington -- one is the Boggs Family Burying Ground and the other is on what now is called Normandy Farm. Although Matthew Kenney's wife is buried at the latter, I don't know where he might be...probably buried there, but in an unmarked site...

Hope this helps.
