I'll keep you posted if I find anything more via "stumbling across it" which is what I normally do.
My lines came to KY only once: my g/g g/f marched up here with the 41st GA Inf. CSA and got greeted with a minie ball in the "botto." He fared far less well at Resaca, and a stint in a U.S. prison camp didn't help too much either, but...as in all happy endings (no pun intended ref: his "botto" wound), he dragged home to GA; put down his rifle; picked up a Bible and a plow.
And thus produced my beloved g/gm; my g/f; my beloved father, and ME!!!!!!!
Thereafter, for a few generations, my own lines sort of steered clear of Kentucky.
Then I moved here, and became fascinated with its history and politics.
As much as I have learned to love KY, and particularly Fayette County, my heart still is in Edgefield SC; GA and AL.
