I now have further information. According to a Breathitt historian Drury and the men are buried on the land where the markers are. He believes a few hundred feet or so away from the markers. One of my cousins hiked up to the monuments with him and it was almost impossible to get there. I have seen a picture of the markers .There are five, David Richardson, John Alfred Allen, Irving Allen, Emory Allen, and Drew Fletcher Gwinn. The description said they are at the high point at mouth of Drowning Creek overlooking Ky River. I hope to go there (in warmer weather, though). Can someone give me directions? Thanks.
