My 4th great grandfather was Jack H. Martin. He was born in Madison County, Kentucky but moved as a boy to Estill County, Kentucky. He was born 24 Jan. 1811 and died 7 April 1901. He and his wife are buried in Effingham Cemetery or Evergreen Cemetery, Effingham, Atchison County, Kansas.
Polly Walter Martin was born 26 Oct 1818 in Kentucky and died 13 Apr 1894. They were parents of 7 children but only 4 were living when Jack died. Sid Martin and Mrs. Henry Woodward, of Kansas. Mrs. G.D. Keithline of Huron and Mrs. Anne Hike of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Their daughter Annie (Martin) Hight is buried in Canon City, Colorado.
I'm not positive but I think Jack's father's name was Robert Martin.
