I am researching my Taylor family while they were living in Kentucky. I found my father's brother Mathew.
Mathew's Information from W.W. I draft registration card:
Matthew Taylor--b. 25 June 1894--age 23--stout--brown eyes--brown hair--born Huguenot, NY--occupation-?Eg-----------Cumberland Pike line, Pilot, KY--single--white
I believe that Pilot, Kentucky is in Estill County. The rest of Mathew's family were living in Johnson County Kentucky on the 1920 and 1930 cenus.
I am hoping someone on this list might have the Taylor connection and help me learn more of my Uncle Mathew. Also my father married an Alka Rivers in Kentucky. I can not find a marriage record in Johnson County or the counties surrounding Johnson County. I am wondering if perhaps my father's marriage might have taken place in Estill County. The marriage happened in 1929.
Any help would be appreciated.
