ESTES, Brazil, etc., and children

Quite a bit of my information on my mother's Estes family has been posted online at various sites without my approval and/or knowledge. This post will attempt to set the record straight. I do not have any proof who Brazil Estes's parents were; I only know that his son Lot/Lott was my great-great grandfather and that Lot and his family were Estill County residents in the mid-1800's. Lott died in Madison County, Kentucky about 1900. I believe his first name was William, making him the W.L. Estes who married Betsy Stagner in 1878 (corraborated by the 1880 census listing of Madison County, Kentucky) and who lists his parents as Braseal and Susannah of South Carolina in the marriage record found in Madison County. The name William comes down in the family through his son, grandson, and great grandson.
I have done much work on this family and Brazil is my brick wall. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
