Dave, All the Whitts that were in that part of Morgan Co., KY, that became part of Elliott Co. in 1869 were descendants of Richard and Vicy Adkins Whitt. Richard and Vicy moved into that part of Morgan Co. just before 1830. Did Hezekiah Whitt's daughter Rebecca marry Luther Lowe? Hezekiah's other children scattered. I think James stayed in Tazewell Co., VA, Griffith went to Missouri, Richard N. Whitt married Edmund Whitt's daughter Rebecca and moved to that part of Carter Co., KY, that became part of Elliott Co. in 1869. I think Susannah married Joseph Webb and at least some of their children went to Missouri. John Bunyan went of Floyd Co., KY, and Jonas married Archibald and Hannah Lowe Whitt's daughter Susannah and spent some time in Floyd Co., KY, and Greenup Co., KY.
I have not been able to establish a definite connection between the Whitts in Carter/Elliott and the Whitts in Morgan/Elliott (my ancestors). I think that the Haze Whitt who married Lucy Barker was of the Morgan/Elliott bunch.
