I am in great hopes that someone can help me with this family line.
I am looking for info on a Harve Griffith (possibly a middle name) and Nancy Johnson. Nancy born December 8, 1860, is the daughter of John J. Johnson and Savilla Segraves. To my knowledge they had at least one son... Lee O.(known as "Onsi" to family)Griffith.
His obituary reads as follows:
Obituary:
Lee O Griffith, 79 of 415 Iowa St. Westwood was pronounced dead on arrival at Kings Daughts Hospital at 7:30 pm Wednesday.
Born May 22, 1888 in Elliott County, he was a son of the late Have and Nancy Johnson Griffith. He was employed for 29 years in the Armco Drainage Co. shipping department before his retirement.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Fay Pruitt Griffith, one daughter, Mrs. Cisco Kitchen of Dunkirk, Ind. 11 grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.Body is at John Steen Funeral Home.
Lee O. was married previous to Fay Pruitt... in which I am thinking is possibly Cynthia Hill.
Lee O. Griffith is found in the 1900 Elliott County, Ky Census in the household of his grandmother.

It would appear that Lee O Griffiths parents Harve Griffith and Nancy Johnson died young...or at least his mother did. Any clues to this family would greatly be appreciated. If you cannot contact me at the address listed here... Try contacting me at sbrown313@windstream.net.
