I am searching for any information on Mollie Evans, born 26 July 1878 in Elliott County, KY, according to her marriage license on 15 October 1898 to William "Willie" Pettit in Rowan County, KY. It is believed that Mollie Evans was the only surviving member in a fire which occurred between her birth and her marriage. I can find one Mollie Evans, age 2 in the household of William Evans in Boyd County Census of 1880. This Mollie Evans married an Adkins, therefore is not the Mollie I am trying to find. It could be that she was taken in by relatives and shows up in another household. If anyone has any idea or information on this line, I certainly would appreciate it. I am not sure where to look from here. This has been a brick wall for years and I am trying to find this information for a dear friend. Mollie was her grandmother. From what the family knows, Mollie was a young child and didn't remember her family, therefore never talked about them. Thank you in advance.
