I've been told by close family members that Booker Valentine Moore of Lawrence Co., KY married Emma Stapleton, and had three children in Elliott County about 1892-1895, then left her and went back to Lawrence County where he remarried.
THEN I got one of the daughter's obits, and it identifies not Booker Valentine Moore, but his brother Aaron Moore as the father. Has the extended family made a mistake, or is the mistake in the (fairly recent) obituary?
I need a marriage lookup if indeed the marriage is in Elliott County. I surely would hate to link the three children to the wrong father, and don't want to upset family members either. Need proof on this one if I've ever needed proof!
