Hi, Mary

Thanks for the information. Yes, I have information about Uncle Jim's siblings. Do you need it??

I show that there were 7 of the children:
Mary Ann
Katherine 'Kate'
Meredith Anna
James Monroe 'Uncle Jim'

I got the information about them from:

Msg. Boards for Elliott Co., KY
Linda 'Elaine' Westerfeld

Uncle Jim's mother - Eliza Stafford had a child by Dan Waggoner named Elvira., then married John L (Mac) McSweeney (McSwinney).

I've also gotten a lot of information from Pete Stafford. Jim and Mary Blankenship McSweeney's granddaughter, Sandy, is coming to WV tomorrow for about a week and we're going to be visiting with Pete over in KY and he's going to show us the old Stafford Cemetery where John L. & Eliza are buried. They were Sandy's g-grandparents.

Sandy's dad was Uncle Jim & Aunt Mary's youngest son, Stewart McSweeney. Stewart was one of my grandmother's many first cousins on the Blankenship side.

My mother said she had always heard that Uncle Jim had been married before and had a family back in KY. It's only within the past year that I've figured out that Uncle Jim & Aunt Mary were 2nd cousins and that's how he happened to come over to WV. Not sure why or what happened with his first wife.

I have his birthday as: March 18 1861 and he and Aunt Mary were married on: Dec 24 1888. She was 14 & he was 27. We have a picture of them that I'm going to scan.
