Hi Mary,

Yes!! The James 'Jim' McSweeney who was the son of John McSweeney and Eliza Stafford was my gg-uncle. His granddaughter is coming for a family reunion this week. His grandchildren now range in age from mid/late 80s down to early 50s.

Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary had 10 boys - 8 of whom lived to adulthood.

Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary were 2nd cousins by way of the STAFFORDs. Apparently that's how he came to be over in WV, out in the sticks and meet Aunt Mary. She was only 14 and he was about 28 when they married.

Would love to know more about the McSweeney line.
