hello,
I was reading the Edmonson County Marriages and found an Ichabod P Wood that married a Nancy P Thompson on 14 NOV 1873 in Edmonson County, KY.
My Question is does any one know where they went from there and also who were the Parents of Nancy P Thompson, some one once mentioned that Ichabod's wife went by "Babe" Thompson. Is this Nancy and That "Babe" one in the Same?
Ichabod P Wood's Parents were Solomon Seymour Wood and Lavina/Luvina . I had found Ichabod with parents in the 1860 and 1870 Census but after he married I can not find him. Unless he is the next family after his Mother's household under L.V Wood in the 1880 Census KY, Grayson, Rock Creek, Dist 48, dated 18 June 1880.
I can't make out the Initials in the line with household 291 it looks like a J F Wood but being so close to L V Wood, Ichabod's Mother, I think it could be our Ichabod, I P Wood and N P his wife. The ages line up if they are, what are the initials of their 2 year old son? Another reason I believe this may be them is because of the Male Thompson living with them, could be Nancy's brother.
Any help would/Wood be appreciated. If I get Ichabod in the right place and his wife then maybe I will be able to prove that Ichabod P Wood and Nancy P Thompson are the parents of William Culvert Wood b. Dec 18, 1882 and his older Brother John C Wood born same day and Month as William but one year earlier on Dec 18, 1881. It had been said William had been born at Dog Creek, Hart, KY, he died Oct 3, 1923 Hart County, KY. William was buried in the Northtown United Baptist Church Cemetery, Northtown, Hart, KY. William went by the name of Billy too.
