LaWanna -- thank you so much for your posted reply -- yes, we have since learned about the 1911 birth records as a STARTING point. BUT good news -- we did find (I do believe) our Aubrey Gragson born April 1910 in Owensboro, Daviess County, KY on a census record but we have a NEW QUEST in this family line :-)
Do you live close to the Kentucky Room in the Owensboro Library, Daviess County, Kentucky to lend a hand or close to Daviess County DIVORCE and/or MARRIAGE records?
Our Samuel Webster GRAGSON and Corena SKAGGS/GRAGSON were divorced between 1910 and 1920. I do believe that Corena Skaggs/Gragson (Gregson / Gregston / Gragston) was remarried in Daviess County, KY between 1910 and 1920.
We know for a fact Samuel & Corena GRAGSON were listed as married on the 1910 Owensboro census records with sons. But in the 1920 census records Samuel W. Gregson and one of his son are 'boarders' and he is listed as divorced.
I would love to find the divorce record AND ALSO see if there is a marriage record between 1910/1920 for a Corena Skaggs or Corena Gragson/Gregson/Gragston/Gregston in Daviess County!
