Lucius L. Mitchell born about 1848 KY was in Co D 35th KY Inf during the War. His Mother died when he was 6 and his Father died when he was 12.
He married Rachel A. CASKEY, Daviess Co KY 9 Apr 1876 at I. C. Riggs in presence of W. R. Mitchell and J.M (or J.W.) BAKER?

I think I. C. Riggs was "Ike" and Frances (BROOKS) Riggs that went to Franklin Co AR about the same time Lucius and Rachel did. Both families are found on the 1880 census for Franklin Co AR. Was there a connection between the Mitchell family and the Riggs/Brooks family?

Lucius died 4 Dec 1909 St Cloud, Florida. This family moved to Logan Co AR and then into Cherokee Nation before 1900. He has grandchildren buried at Webbers Falls, Muskogee Co, OK. His wife, Aunt Rachel, died in Texas.
