Thank you for all that information. This morning after reading your first letter, I call a cousin to let her know that I had finally got a reply to my query. We both would like to thank you for your help. Will be checking Grayson County for more information about our Brooks family.

As we can see by those death records the children or grandchildren of Felix Brooks did not know or remember that his place of birth was Tennessee. We do know that Felix's parents, Henry and Catherine Brooks, were in Maury County 1818 - 1820. And by 1830 they were in Fayette County Tennessee. Around 1838 our Brooks family went to Ohio County Kentucky.
