I am also looking for a Scott in Cumberland County. Her name was Sarah Scott she was born about 1790 in Virginia she married David Galton about 1810 in Cumberland County. They lived in that county until 1830 and then moved to Overton County TN. They are listed in the Overton County census in 1840 and 1850. David Galton died before 1860. Sarah (Scott)Galton and one of her daughters are listed as living back in Cumberland County in the 1860 Census. I would appreciate any information on Sarah Scotts family.
