I have a good deal of information about the Stockton family in both Clinton County, Kentucky, and in Overton County, Tennessee. Three of "Smith Creek" John Stockton's children moved from Stockton's Valley, present Clinton County, Kentucky, to Overton County, Tennessee. These were Rachael (nee Stockton) Jones, Elizabeth Stockton who was married to John Christian, and John Stockton who was married to Lucretia Daniel.
In the 1820's there were two John Stocktons living in Overton County, Tennessee. One was a son of "Smith Creek" John Stockton, and the other was John E. Stockton who was married to Pheby. I have jpegs of deed records, and Civil War records for the John E. Stockton family. I also have court records and census records for this family. There are several descendents of John E.
