Hello Michelle, Thanks for your response. I appreciate your assistance. You said that you couldn't find Samuel on the 1920 and 1930 census. I found his WW1 draft registration card, dated June 1917, and he is working on a farm in Champaign County, Illinois for a Mr. Neal. It also says on the card that he (Samuel) is "on parole from Joliet." Joliet refers to the Illinois state prison in Joliet, IL. Would you happen to have any pics of him or his immediate family? I checked your posting history and see you've posted in Wayne and Russell Counties in KY. I have several direct family lines from those two counties: McGowan, Foster, Walters, Hicks, Anderson, Taylor, Burk(e). I don't know if Samuel Preston Bell is the Samuel Bell I'm searching for but would like to find out more about him to get a better idea if I'm on the right trail or not. You can contact me directly via email for more of the story. Thanks again for your help. Regards, Craig Nelson Cengold@aol.com Notify Administrator about this message?
