The Clay County Historical Society is dangerously close to closing it's doors. I think many of us have had to research in a county where there is NO historical or genealogical society, and it makes *such* a difference to have one in the county you are researching. So, please consider sending in your membership dues, and maybe look over some of the resources they are selling on their website:
