Estill, Clark & Montgomery counties swapped borders in early 1800’s & then all 3 gave up land to form Powell Co. in 1852. So the King family may have never moved just “traded” to a different co.
With that in mind & with the understanding that the census takers did not always write down accurate birth years, check this out.
