Hello, I am interested in any info regarding the Lane family of Clark CO, MO. William and Patience Lane had children: William, Mary, Joel, James (2 wives, 2nd wife Glaffice Mullins), Benjamin (Susan Boulware), Mordecai (Polly Martin), Nancy (Luke Philbert, John Lane, Hannah (William Poer). They arrived in the area about 1810 from Guilford, NC. Most of the children went to different states with their families, but James Lane stayed. He died bet 1860-1870. I am especially interested in him because I am looking for proof that his first wife was Elizabeth (Betsy) Tuggle. A James Lane married a Betsy Tuggle in 1813 Clark, KY, but I can't say for sure that this is the same James Lane. The only children I know for sure of James Lane is Joicy Lane (Sylvanus Shearer)and Nancy Lane (Gordon Mullins). I was also hoping to find info about a Lane/Laine/Lain Cemetery (this is on another post). I do have some info to share on these families, mostly from after they moved from the area. I just don't know much about the Clark CO, KY era. Thank you !!
