My G-G-Grandmother Mary Anne "Polly" Brown was born in Clark Co. KY in 1821. She married a man from Clark Co.-Charles C. Waterman,b. 1816. Polly's parents came to Sangamon Co where she married Charles in 1842. They are found there in the 1840, 1850, 1860 census. Charles died in 1861 and Polly remarried to R.J. Burgess. She died in Mechanicsburg in 1899. She is buried in Mechanicsburg Cemetery with George W. Brown, possibly a brother born in 1815, died in 1879. Neither death cert. nor an obit for Polly. Please email me if you know of Polly's parents.
