George, you're quite kind, and also wonderfully helpful! I have indeed checked findagrave, but have never had any luck with this family. Its wonderful to know that someone has located and identified them! Thanks, again! It reminds me to keep going back and repeating my searches - things change in a short time, quite often, it seems. I've been working again on this line- you have given me a breath of fresh air and I hope to make some real progress soon. I had seen the 1870 census, but not the citation of Rev. Pendleton's association with the Moore Baptist Church. I have had no luck in contacting the church or finding records from it, so that was a little gem! I had been told that was the most likely church he had been associated with, but till now I didn't have confirmation. Revisiting the 1870 census has shown me some new things that I was not ready for when I first found it - the page with the Dunkersons on it is also filled with other families with the surnames I'm seeking. More to work with! Thanks, so much! I hope to help others as often as I can, as you have helped me. We do indeed share this world, and we might as well enjoy the journey and share it!
