James Cravens' Children -1797
Posted by: Judi (ID *****0661) Date: September 03, 2010 at 15:25:06

I am facing a brick wall, and hope someone can help me. I am trying to locate information to prove the children of James Cravens (died 1797-Christian Co). Mary,(his wife) was named in his will but his minor children were not listed by name. James was a soldier in the Rev War and I would like to prove his daughter Elizabeth (Betsey) for DAR. She married Joseph Means (son of William Means) Feb 1809, in Christian Co.

Are there any county newspapers for that time period on microfilm that might have an obit? Anyone know of a Family Bible? Are there any early county court records which would mention minor children by name? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
