Stuart/Stewart Family - before 1800 - Christian Co., KY
Posted by: J. C. Bell (ID *****4316) Date: December 31, 2002 at 14:52:05

Trying to locate children/descendants of John Stuart/Stewart and Sarah Fulkerson. Names of children are Abraham; Emily, who m. Henry Conway; Elijah, reportedly m. ____ Dobbins; Hulda(h), m. _____ Clark; James Monroe Stuart; William, m. Rebecca Kuykendal; Sarah, m. Thomas Grayson.

It's my understanding these children, settled on the west fork of Pond River, prior to 1800. In 1818, Abraham went to Hempstead Co., AR with his family, accompanied by his mother, Sarah.

I don't have birth or death dates, nor do I know if the list is accurate.

It's said John and Sarah settled on Miller's Creek on south side of Sulphur Fork of Red River, ..in Robertson Co., TN first, and may have moved to where his children had settled in Christian Co., KY later on.

I'll appreciate any information anyone can help me with, or suggestions on where to find more.

Thanks,

J. C. Bell
