I am hoping that someone connects to Benjamin W. L. Vaughan or Vaughn. I located him in the 1850 Christian County, Kentucky Census along with wife Parthenia and children Lavonia, William P., Lucy, Mary S., James B. and baby girl. I believe that baby is my husband's gg grandmother Laura.
In the 1860 census I located a B.W. L. Vaughn in Washington County, Illinois. If this is the same family, then he had a second wife ,H. E. P. The children listed were Mary S, James, Laura, Nancy and Martha. In the 1870 Washington County, Ill. Census, Benjamin, wife Harriet, Martha, Lowlah, John, and Rufus were listed. Laura had married J. T. Christian and was living next to her inlaws John W. Christian and Elizabeth Darter Christian. Benjamin and Parthenia were born in Virginia.
