Hi Tom, I think you & Jim & I are working
on some of the same lines. I've just posted
to the MANION messg. so it should be coming
to you soon.

Yes, Ambrose SULLIVAN is part of a collateral SULLIVAN line of mine in
Ballard Co, KY. His 1G-g.parents were ZACHARIAH Sullivan(b-1785) & Emily GOSS
who moved into Ballard Co, KY in 1841 from TN.

Zachariah's bro. EDW. URIAH SULLIVAN(b-1795) was my 2G-g.father. He & his wife Martha Ann (Patsey) CAMPBELL migrated to Graves Co, KY from TN in the 1830's. There were several "kissin' cuzzin" marriages in the 2 families
resulting in most of the SULLIVAN's in Graves, Ballard & So. Ballard (now CARLILE Co.) today being related to each other in some way. Mix that w/ the prolific # of SANDERSON marriages on both sides and <tah dah>..it's a sure-enough tangled web...<s>.

Uriah (as he was known) was f/o my 1G-g.dad-
JOSEPH FRANKLIN SULLIVAN, who m. MIRIAM ELIZABETH HALSELL. Their son (my g.dad) was
WM. HOWARD "Bid" SULLIVAN who m. EMILY JANE FIELDS (of Ballard Co.) in 1892. Their middle child (of 9) was my dad - RAY SULLIVAN
(1902-1992). Dad grew up in the Bardwell vicinity. Some cousins (children of his bro. BURNICE (B.D.) SULLIVAN) still living in the area today.

Anyway,MIRIAM HALSELL's mother was RUTH ANN MANION, d/o- James MANION + JANE WINDERS (wife #2).

Confusin', huh? This is prob. more than you ever wanted to know abt. when you asked the question...<s>

Martha
