I am working on the May family, so the Carter, Haggard, Bickers, Branham, and alot of others come into the picture. My cousin, Sherman Dunn is buried there, I got some wonderful pictures.

I have death certificates proving that some of the my family are buried there, but unfortunately the only records that I got to see were the burial cards for some of the May family and some of the Carter family. It was definately disheartening. I spoke to the older lady several times that used to be there and she was so nice to people. I just could not imagine it when she retired, but I guess that we all have to at some point in our lives.

Yes, I think that it would be terrible to have to deal with issues like that from a cemetery where my loved ones are interred. I just cannot imagine that they are that way since the cemetery seems to be an older one, and the major cemetery still in use today in the county.

I wrote the library and got what little records were there, which was nothing. So once again, at square one as far as getting a list of the burials in the cemetery.

How are we suppose to know if our missing ancestors are there without one???? I suppose we guess!!!!!

I would love to sign your petition, this is terrible.

I am going to begin purchasing copies of the newspaper and transcribing them to get the burials in this cemetery. I was told by someone that the libary had a complete copy of all of the obituaries from the paper but they do not. I spoke to them there the within the same week and the library staff is small, so it is unreasonable to expect much help from them.

I would love copies of my Bickers, May and Carter obituaries and burial cards.......

Please feel free to email me. After waiting at the cemetery office for over two hours and coming home practically emptie handed, I doubt that I will be making another trip there soon. I did spend over 6 hours the day before I actually made it to the office, photographing a great deal of the cemetery. I will be posting these online for use by everyone as soon as I finish the list of burials. It may take me awhile, I too work long hours and have to do a great deal of work for others. I do volunteer work here in Indiana for others helping them with their genealogy.

It was so nice of you to respond back to me, and please let me know if there is anything at all that I can do to help the cause.

Teresa
