Yes I agree, the woman that used to be there was such a very nice lady and always anxious to help others, she had a vast knowledge of the cemetery and if she didn't know what you wanted would always lend a hand to help you find the needed information. The woman who is there now, does nothing but the books, that is what she told me when I visited the cemetery, she would not help me and told that "IT WAS NOT HER JOB". So I photographed a great deal of the cemetery myself. What I got out of the woman was helpful, TWO NAMES, I have dozens in the cemetery. There are obituaries on the backside of the burial cards and she refused to copy them, told me that they have copies of them in the library in Carrollton, but the library staff told me that they did not. Also, the ones in the index at the library that I could view in the TWO Names that I got to see, did not have the ones that I have proof that ARE buried there. It was a very frustrating trip. Thank goodness for digital camera's. Hopefully she won't stay long and another nicer lady will be there. It would be such a tragedy to let the only records for the burials there just get wasted because someone does not "want" to help others in their research. I have so many family members buried there, it was a long hot trip down, I spent the day before taking several photographs, I am still working on a transcript. I will see if I can get it posted so that atleast some will have access to them. Teresa Notify Administrator about this message?
