I found in a new data base at ancestry.com--relatives that we thought went back to Germany in 1939. But they died in it says Carroll, Carrl Co., Kentucky? and I have Louis Pallas died Feb 14, 1941 Volume 8 Cert. 3978; and his wife, Ottillia Pallas died April 13, 1956 Volume 14 Cert. 6599. Both say in Carrl, Kentucky death index for 1911-2000. I need to find out how to get obits for these two people. and where to contact to get them or the death certs. as well. I am really interested--in trying to find their kids andinfo on them--we believed by my great-aunts telling us that they went back to Germany and were not heard from after the war. But to find the right age in a death index listing for these two--just made my day--now only to find what happened to their older children--and more on what they put on their death records as family info. I have Mlawa, Poland as birth place for Louis (Ludwig?, aka) Pallas and just Poland for Otelia (aka Ottillia) Mesole maiden name. They came to USA in 1901 and 1904 they had (7) seven kids listed between the two census of 1910-Barnhart, Jefferson Co., MO; and 1920-East St. Louis , St.Clair Co., IL. Where di these kids go? did some die? who did the daughter, Lydia born 1898 in Germany marry?
Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated. This is my families brickwall. We haven't been able to find anything on these people for years.
