Not really related to the Morgans but Catherine Melinda Morgan married Greenberry BURROW who was distant relation of my gg grandfather. QUESTION – Do you have a Nancy Catherine Morgan, born abt 1845, who married James Thomas KEESEE? Did some lookups for you in some Carlisle and Ballard county books I have. IF you had given approximate birth years for these people, I might have been able to help you more. ALSO, are your Morgans the ones who came from Indiana or the ones who came from North Carolina???? 1. From the out of print book, "Vital Statistics of Far Western KY", by M. Juliette Magee This book is based on a Journal kept by Ballard Co. storekeeper, Ed Horr, from about 1870 thru the 1920s. Are any of the following the ones you are looking for? Thomas Miles Morgan, born in North Carolina, 1822. Died in 1877, 55 years of age. Miles Morgan died January 19, 1883, 56 years of age. Robert M. Morgan, son of Miles, born May 26, 1864 in what is now Carlisle T. M. Morgan died September 28, 1879 You state that the Morgan Family graveyard and Mayfield Creek cemetery records “were destroyed 30 years ago”. I don’t know about that, but both of those cemeteries were surveyed in the 1960s and 1970s and are documented in the following books, which are available for purchase on the Carlisle Co. web site. 2. From the book, "Graveyards of Carlisle and Hickman Counties, KY" MORGAN GRAVEYARD Located on the old Buck Hayden farm, Highway 121 Note - this graveyard was surveyed in the 1960s or 1970s and at that time 3 tombstones were still readable. Using the KY Death Records data base on ancestry.com, which only goes up to 1953, found the following Death Certificate: Samanthia Morgan Born Sept 30, 1863, daughter of John Munsell and Ellen Laudermilk Widow, died July 3, 1949, found dead in yard 4.
