I was reading your post and wow, that's interesting! I am not sure but my aunt always said someone was shot on the farm next to her grandfather's. Said they shot him in the house and took him out through a window to keep the kids from seeing him. The farm I think she was talking about was very close to the Pendleton county line on US 27. The names sound familiar but probably not the same story.
