Need help please. I sincerely believe the death record found for one Semantha E. Fogel [actual name Samantha/Cymantha E. Fogle] b. 1852 died 1893 to be the person I am looking for in northern Kentucky
HOWEVER - the undertaker's notes on the death record indicated "intended burial" to be "MORGAN STATION, KY".
My question is does the intended burial indicate a place called Morgan Station, KY or does it mean the name of cemetery/burial place called Morgan Station Cemetery? And if so, where is this place or cemetery?
I already know there WAS a historic site that is called "Morgan Station" where an indian raid occurred. BUT, is there a burial site located there where other people are interred? Or is there another place also called Morgan Station? And if so, where is it located? And has anyone read and recorded the names, dates etc. of the people buried there?
The dilemna, of course, is to determine whether or not the Death Record for this Semantha E. Fogel in 1893 is in fact the death record for the person I am looking for. It does make sense that my Samantha E. Fogle could have been placed in Covington(Kenton County) or Newport (Campbell County) about that time - because her grand-daughter (my grand-mother)was born in Newport in 1896 - but this record is inconclusive and the calculation for her birth date does not coincide. I realize that some "informant" gave the information and we do not know who that informant was at the time, and that could account for the discrepancy in birth-date/age at time of death.
So - IF there is anyone out there who can help me figure this out, I have lots of information on the Fogle family she is associated with, and would be happy to share what we have.
