Thought I posted a response yesterday for Linda but don't see it (new at this so maybe it is here).
Here's what I found on John Sudkamp, my grandmother Cora's b. 4 IOct, 1899 and d. 2 Oct. 1977(married to Ed Baumer) father.
John Sudkamp b. 19 Sept 1856 in Cincinnati and d. 29 Dec 1915 in Bellevue - address 203 Walnut. Death certificate says an accidental fall damaging his intestines. I think John Sudkamp and Elizabeth Schwerjohann Sudkamp were members of Sacred Heart parish. Both are buried at St. Stephen's, but I didn't see any markers at their gravesites.
John's father is Richard Sutkamp, born in Germany, and his mother's last name is Brinckman, also born in Germany.
Elizabeth Sudkamp b. 20 Sept. 1857 and d. 24 Dec. 1925; she had a massive stroke at the oven while cooking on Christmas Eve. Her parents are Bernard Pleimann and Maria Anna Schwerjohann, also buried at St. Stephen's in front but no markers.
Postings and responses from this site gave me a good start. I'm also looking for information on John Sudkamp's mother and father.
