Many thanks for your reply. I had that information, as I have the Tarvin book you mention.

There are still some answers eluding me -- what did the H stand for in Edmund and Parthena's middle names? What is Richard's real middle name? Where was he really born? Did he have an infant son named Arthur?

Richard W Tarvin's family ( my family ) says that the middle name was Whitney.

His death certificate says it was Whitman. This was submitted by his daughter.

I also think he was born near Carthage, not Kenton Co. My aunt submitted a lot of information to the Tarvin Family Organization that was very wrong.

His obituary says he was associated with the Brethren Church, which has since merged with the Methodist Church. I would like to know if anybody knows which church in Covington, Alexandria, and Carthage are the oldest, so I can write and try to find info.

The United Methodist Church in Marysville, KS has no record of him, so I need to find another old church there, as well.

It took me 30 years to find Parthena Tarvin's grave. I hope I can get information on these questions in less time.

These people are calling to me, and I want to find them.

Thanks again for the trouble you went to for this information.
