Hi Justin,
Yes, they are still available at the County Clerks office. Your only problem being, which County Clerk’s office…….Newport or Alexandria. If the person being researched lived north of an approximate line drawn east/west across the intersection of US 27 and East Alexandria Pk., you will find the Books at the Newport Courthouse located at 4th and York Sts. If the person lived south of that line you will find the Books at the “new” County Clerk’s Office at the intersection of SR 10 (Main St.) and Gilbert Ridge Rd. in Alexandria.

Directions to Alexandria from Erlanger:
Take I-275 East to AA Hwy (SR 9)East(first exit after crossing the Licking River) to US 27 (South)(approx. 3 miles) going south on US 27 about 3 miles to the City limits and the first traffic light will be at WalMart on your left, from there it will be 6 traffic lights to Main St. (SR 10), turn right and go to the fork in the road at Gilbert Ridge Rd. The Clerk’s Office is the red brick building in that fork, parking in the rear. They close at 4pm Mon-Fri.
If you would care to visit the Campbell County Historical & Genealogical Society while you are out this way, turn left on Main St. instead of right, and go down just past the next traffic light to the second floor of the “old” Courthouse. We are open Tues 10am to 8 pm, Thurs 10 am to 2 pm, and Sat 10am to 2 pm.

Good luck with your research,
Jerry
