Looking for anything on Davis family from Butler Co, in early 1800's. James Bartell Davis b. Aug 1816 in Butler, and married Martha Causey in 1836. They had at least 5 kids before her death. Then he married a Catherine Combs and moved to Adams Co., Il.

Believe James' parents were William Davis and Nancy Ann Hill.
