Village of DALTON, Breckinridge County, KY

I have found a man listed in the tax lists for 1828-1829 as a resident of DALTON in Breckinridge County, Kentucky. No one has been able to locate where DALTON happened to be then. Can anyone reading this message board provide an assist with respect thereto?

I suspect that Dalton may have been near to Hudson or perhaps even the name of that town prior to it becoming Hudson. But, I am merely speculating. I do know that the man on the mentioned tax lists had 50 acres on Calamese Creek in Breckinridge County. However, I have not found any village along Calamese Creek named Dalton.

I did check the 1830 census and found the man in question; however, the district in which he lived was omitted from that page of the census. His neighbors were: Daniel Wagoner, Michael Hall, and Thomas Lewis, Jr. If any of these men was your ancestor and you can identify where he or they lived, that would help.

Any assistance shall be appreciated.
