On Novermber 16, 1818 Breckinridge court records state that Samuel SPENCER was appointed quardian of Barbary Spencer infant orphan of Michael SPENCER dec`d. John Spencer security bond.
Also at the same time, JOHN SPENCER was appointed guardian to JAMES SPENCER, infant orphan of MICHAEL SPENCER dec`d. thomas Dean security bond.
First, how old would an infant orphan be?
Second, I know that Michael took out a marriage bond, Breckinridge county Ky July 7, 1815 Michael Spencer to Hanna Mattingly. Did she die before this time or did these children come from his first marriage and his second wife could not afford to take care of them??
