There is a map at the Mason County Historical Society that shows the locations of the houses that each of them lived in. Asa and Elizabeth lived on property that is now fenced. His property was from a revolutionary land grant and was naturally, the top of the ridge. I have documentation that they are buried on the property and I did so want to climb over the fence and take a look, but I think that may be illegal. :) They are about 1 mile to the west of Minerva.
When I was there I stopped at the post office to inquire about locations and had apparently just missed the funeral of one or another relative, named Elizabeth. Very weird.
Glad to know the parentage of Asa. There is a correspondent of some years ago out in the Mid West who was a direct descendant of Asa's brother Hardin. She didn't know about his life in KY at all. If I can find her address I can fill her in on more.
Thanks for writing back.
