In my research for the Burton family, I came across a new surname, Pelman. Has anyone from that area heard of an african american Pelman from Boyle County (Danville)? My research shows Ann Burton with two maiden names (Chandler and Pelman), I am thinking one name could be from a previous marriage.
Any help would be appreciated.
