Do you have any idea how old she was or her parent's names? One guy told me that Levi, Robert & George Sparks were the first ones to arrive in eastern, Ky. & they were from South Carolina. I think it's strange her husband provided the information yet didn't/couldn't provide more info. There's not even a day of birth.

One of the genealogist told me that Martin Co. was notorious for not properly documenting deaths & births, especially up to the mid 1900s. I'm not sure but I think King's Daughter in Ashland was the only hospital in eastern Ky. for years. The library has tons of reference books but only 3 on Martin Co.

The only early birth record I could find for Rose Sparks was Rose C. Sparks whose parents were Douglas & Martha Day Sparks but it was in Lewis Co. in Noah, Ky. Would this be one of yours?
