Several researchers have reported a marriage in Bourbon Co KY 23 May 1794 between Paul Shaver (Shafer, Shaffer) and Catherine Riffle. I'm not sure when Bourbon Co was formed, maybe what they mean is the area that later became Bourbon. I looked at the tax lists, and there are Shavers present (not Paul) and Riffles present. I would love to get confirmation of this marriage, and especially would like to obtain a copy (especially if any additional info is contained). Thanks in advance for your help. Bud Carder
