We should be ready by the dedication date of Saturday, June 27th, but a ‘time’ has not been set yet.

This is for a dedication service for the cemetery where ABRAHAM VAUGHAN b. 1772 VA, his wife, and son Larkin are buried in Florence, Ky. (behind Wal-Mart on Houston Road)

The cemetery is nicely fenced now thanks to the property owner and it is located on Abraham’s old property.

You are certainly welcome to attend the event and I would like to ask you to help get the word out to all who might be interested.

Please click on the below link to view the booklet draft that I have put together :

There are 3 know burials in this cemetery :

--Abraham Vaughan
born 1772 VA
died Sept. 25, 1851 KY aged 79 years

--Mary ‘Polly’ Weaver Vaughan
wife of Abraham
born Apr. 10, 1779 VA
died Oct. 8, 1856 KY aged 77 years

--Larkin Vaughan
son of Abraham and Mary ‘Polly’
born Aug. 25, 1818 KY
died Sept. 17, 1862 KY aged 44 years
Larkin Vaughan was killed during a Civil War skirmish
Florence, Ky. Sept. 17, 1862
He was watching the skirmish from a nearby barn when a stray shot killed him.

Please feel free to contact me for more information or to compare Vaughan family history.
Thanks!
