Looking for info on David Barnet Reed in 1860-1900 in Boone County. He married Rhoda Ellen Slaughter in 1856 in Rockcastle Co. KY. They had Mary Frances (Chittenden); Susan Alice Cora (Cayton); Sarah Josephine (Saunders and Kennedy); Emily; Nancy; Rosa Lee (Vollmer); James William; Amis B.; Samue Logan and Amanda (Mamie) (Pickleheimer).
At one time David shows up in 1860 Garrard Co. as Barnet Reid; then in Boone County in 1870 twice during census as Barnet Reid and then David M. Reed. David was a bushwhacker in the Civil War.
When Rhoda died in 1883, he remarried and had second family. Children were placed in an orphange after the second wife died.
David died at Rosa's home in Powell Co. KY in 1815.
