Locating land from 19th century census data

My ancestor, Charles Wheeler, was in the 1820 Wayne County, KY census. Sometime after that census, and after his marriage in 1821, he moved to Bath County, KY. In the 1830 Bath County census, it states he was in No Township Listed. In the 1840 Bath County census, it states he was in the East (of) Slate Creek Township. In the 1850 Bath County census, it states that he was in the 2nd District Township.

My question is: Can someone please tell me how I might be able to find, preferably on a map, at least within a somewhat limited area of Bath County, KY, where these townships might have been during those census years? I would love to be able to visit the area(s) where Charles Wheeler lived in Bath County.

Thank you in advance for your help.
