Yes, Luther you are correct about the other Sherwoods. Edward would be Albert Gallatin's father. I did know that Albert served under General Kirby Smith and saw service at Missionary Ridge, Chickamauga and other places, particularly in Tennessee. I don't have much information on Edward Sherwood's military service and would enjoy hearing more about it if you have additional information. I can provide photos of Albert G. if you need them.
