Death records between 1860-1873

I am in need of help! I have 3 men who died between 1860 & 1862; however, the Kentucky State Archives told me that Anderson County did not keep death records between 1860 & 1873, which I thought bizarre. I am searching for the records for John Ripy died 1/27/1862, Daniel McGaughey died 11/1/1862, and his father Arthur McGaughey died after June 1860.
Has anyone found this type of information in another place? Cemetery records, etc?? Did something happen to those records?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
